Wild Song, The (High Voices)

This original text by Michael McGlynn describes the search for a wild place within everyone and was composed for the Finnish vocal ensemble Rajaton, grant aided by The Arts Council of Ireland. The evocative images are offset against a flowing and beautiful melodic line, with a simple but highly effective choral part – a truly contemporary piece – tonal, but modern at the same time.
Note that the solo line can be sung by unison voices.
