This high-energy piece, with its driving percussion, epitomises the harmonic language associated with my work. I composed this over 35 years ago and the ideas remain just as fresh for me today. The text was the first one I ever set as a choral piece called “Triar Laoch” in 1985, but I was so taken with it that I wanted to make it accessible to more people. Thus the current arrangement.
