O Maria (Mixed Voices)

Duration | 6.00

Probably Michael’s finest spiritual piece, “O Maria” is a sustained, atmospheric and passionate work, needing a larger group [in excess of 20 would be ideal].

“His O Maria is harmonically and texturally complex, but never sounds “difficult,” and conveys an otherworldly and enveloping serenity…The haunting ending…in particular, is likely to elicit a visceral frisson” ~ All Music Guide

“Bringing the CD to an electrifying close is the shimmering, densely textured ‘O Maria’, which deserves to become part of the standard repertoire for choral groups everywhere.” ~ Hot Press

“McGlynn’s own “O Maria” manages to be both haunting and meditative.” ~ Irish Times

The piece comes formatted in US Letter and A4.
