Dúlamán (Low Voices)

Duration | 1.40

NOTE: This is not an arrangement of a traditional Irish song. It is a traditional Irish text set to music by Michael McGlynn. All programme notes or attributions must reflect this fact as they would any other composer’s work.

This piece comes in Low, High and Mixed Voice versions

Due to erosion of the land, people were forced to carry seaweed from the shorelines along the barren West Coast of Ireland; this was then allowed to rot, and was eventually used to plant vegeables. The text of this song, here with original music by Michael McGlynn, may have been sung while the seaweed was being gathered.

This order comes with an IPA and Audio pronunciation guide and in A4 and US Letter formats
