Duration | 2.40

An early medieval text reputedly written by Amergin Glúingel. Written for Apollo5.

Am gaeth i m-muir,
I am the wind on the sea,

Am tond trethan,
I am the wave of the ocean,

Am séig i n-aill,
I am the sound of the sea upon the shore,

Am brí a ndai,
I am the stag of seven tines,

Am bri danae,
I am a battle-strengthened spear,

Am dér gréne,
I am a tear of the sun,

Cáinte im gai, cainte gaithe.
I am a fierce roar among spears, a sharp-edged wind.

Am seabhac a néad i n-aill,
I am a hawk in its nest upon the cliff,

Am gáeth tar na bhfarraige.
I am the wind that blows across the seas.
