This setting of the Quem Queritis comes from the 14th century Irish "Dublin Troper" manuscript. This text is a mini play in itself - the three Mary's come to the tomb and see the angel. The angel asks them why they come, and they answer. When the angel reveals that the tomb is empty, they rejoice. Simple, and yet effective. The setting is dramatic using organum and drones to achieve a medieval atmosphere.
